Pre-Kindergarten

Building Family

Building a lifelong passion for learning truly takes a village. At Barstow, our experienced early childhood educators partner with the young learner's first teachers, the parents, to build a bridge between home and school.

Barstow creates an individualized educational experience for every child. Your child will be placed in a single
pre-kindergarten classroom for an entire academic year. The same teacher, teaching assistant and classmates will interact daily. Together, the children begin assembling the critical building blocks of reading, writing and math. This consistency of environment allows each child to feel comfortable and secure to investigate and to discover the world around them.

Within this school family comprised of teachers, peers and parents, the young learner begins to explore concepts of acceptance, empathy and kindness, while developing the critical thinking skills they'll need in kindergarten—and beyond.
