The ninth annual Pink Out volleyball game drew its largest crowd ever, with an excited crowd cheering the Lady Knights on to a 3-1 victory over Heritage Christian on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Proceeds from the event totaled $2,500, which will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.
A special thank you to middle school student council for organizing a penny drive that raised $513. The rest of the money came from t-shirt sales, a bake sale and the admission gate fees. The grand total was Barstow’s largest donation ever!
Thank you to the Barstow Booster Club for donating pizza and pink volleyball jerseys. Go Knights! Photos are posted on the Barstow flickr page.
