Barstow Tournament Champs!

 The Barstow Lady Knights won the Barstow 2018 Fall Tennis Tournament on Monday sweeping  first  place in three of the four categories in the  tournament!  In A  singles Hannah Tadros  opened with a 10-1 win over Grain Valley, and in the semi finals with a 10- 0 win over Marshall.  In a double elimination format Hannah swept the championship in singles with another 10 – 2 win over Marshall 

 In a doubles Helene Bergere and Lauren Shore  lost in the first round to a tough team from Blue Springs South,  but then picked up some valuable points in the second round consolation against Warrensburg with an 8-4 win. The girls  then secured a third-place medal with an 8-7 (7-5)  tiebreak win over Marshall  

 The Lady Knights  rolled in the B division as well, with Hope Leathers  opening with an 8-4  when over Grain Valley and following with a tiebreaker win 10-9  (7-3) over a tough player from Blue Springs South. With the double elimination format  Hope had to face the same opponent in the finals  and won the B singles championship with a tiebreak 8-7  (7-3) victory. 

 And finally in the B doubles Mia Sabapathy and Arwa Rawjani  held up their number one seed with an 10-8  win  over Grain Valley followed by a 10-4 win In the semi finals over Lee’s Summit, and again came back with a 10–5 win over Lee’s Summit for the  doubles title.
