Barstow Basketball Scores at Weekend Tournaments
Barstow girls and boys basketball had tremendous success against tough competition during tournaments held over the third weekend of January.
The Varsity Lady Knights basketball team went home champions of the Wellington-Napoleon tournament on January 20. They beat Hardin-Central 55-36, Concordia 73-38, and Wellington-Napoleon 53-24. Freshman Brylee Glenn posted a girls’ record 40 points against Concordia. The Lady Knights are currently 10-1 on the season.
The Varsity Boys basketball team took second at the St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) Classic over the weekend of January 20. They defeated Mill Valley 69-58 and Olathe East 80-63, before falling short against home favorites St. Thomas Aquinas. Senior Rigley Nuss made the STA Classic All-Tournament team, and freshman Connor Arment received the Mr. Hustle Award.
