Barstow is excited to welcome new MS/US Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Stribling.
As Barstow kicks off the new school year, many students have recognized a new face in the hallways: Mrs. Stribling. Mrs. Stribling was born in Taiwan and came to America at the age of five, when she lived in North Haven, Connecticut. Although she grew up on the East Coast, she has called Kansas City home for the last two decades.

Before working at Barstow, Mrs. Stribling and her husband owned the South Plaza and Zona Rosa Yogurtinis. She started off in the education field by working at KU’s educational research department and decided that she wanted to return to the education field. Mrs. Stribling chose Barstow because of the “close knit community and environment,” which reminded her of her alma mater, Miss Porter’s School. She has been hired as the MS/US Administrative Assistant and works with both the middle and upper school student bodies. Over the past several years, Mrs. Stribling worked as a substitute teacher at Barstow, as well as an HLC instructor. She enjoys getting the opportunity to work with such an “amazing staff, faculty, and student body!”

Mrs. Stribling lives with her husband, children, yellow lab, and orange tabby cat. Their children, Alina and Quincy, are new students at Barstow. Alina is starting 7th grade, and Quincy in 5th. In her free time, Mrs. Stribling enjoys cooking, listening to NPR, playing Scrabble, traveling, spending time with family and friends, as well as visiting new restaurants.

Mrs. Stribling looks forward to meeting new students. She encourages everyone to “stop by and say hello” sometime!
