PLAZA TOURNAMENT

The Knights participated in the Blue Valley Northwest Tournament with some of the premier talent in the Midwest and had a successful day.  At #1doubles, the duo of Richey King and Sunil Reiland finished 4-1 with victories over Olathe Northwest, Washburn Rural, Pembroke Hill and Lee's Summit North.   aT #2 doubles, Sam Colombo and Matthew Justis lost first round but picked up two wins in the back draw over Washburn Rural and Lee's Summit in a tiebreaker.
At #1 singles, Jordan Herwig picked up a hard fought win over Maize from Topeka, 8-3 and Jack Hanson grabbed a singles win over Lee's Summit North, 8-7 (10-8) in a tough tiebreaker.  All of the boys participated in five separate matches to make for a long and valuable day of tennis.
The Knights have a busy week next week with varsity and junior varsity going to Woodside racket club against Miege on Tuesday, Lee's Summit on Thursday and the Blue Springs Tournament on Friday.
