The Barstow boys tennis team took on state quarterfinalist Liberty High School on Friday, losing 1-4. In doubles the boys gave it a good run with Richey King and Sunil Reiland beating a previously undefeated #1 Liberty team, 9-7. At #2 doubles Saketh Dendi and Sam Colombo played well but lost 3-8 and Matthew Justis and Jordan Herwig lost 2-8. In singles Saketh Dendi and Sam Colombo both played well but lost tough matches while at #1 Richey King easily rolled in the first set and was tied 2-2 in the second when the fifth point was scored and the match was decided.
