Shane Foster

President of the Barstow Schools
Shane Foster has been an educator, school leader and advocate for innovative learning for four decades.
As President, Mr. Foster oversees The Barstow School network of programs and schools both locally and internationally. Foster ensures that Barstow maintains high academic standards while advancing initiatives that have earned Barstow a global reputation for excellence.

A longtime advocate for technology integration in education, Foster directed the development of Barstow’s first online classes in 2013. He also developed a network of international partner schools in Central and South America, Australia, Europe and established Barstow campuses in China and Ghana. 

Mr. Foster holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Tasmania in Australia, a Master of Education from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science from Concordia University, and a Certificate of Leadership from Harvard University. Before joining Barstow in 2008, Foster served as a faculty member at Sacred Heart School, Tasmania, and as an administrator at Wayland Academy in Wisconsin and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Virginia.
