The All-New Redesigned Rolls-Royce Ghost

The Rolls-Royce Ghost has been redesigned for the first time in its 12 year long production run.
In 2009, Rolls-Royce unveiled a smaller companion to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, known as the Ghost. The Ghost serves as a middle ground for customers who don’t have enough space for the long wheelbase of the Phantom but want the utility of a luxury sedan at potentially lower price. The Ghost has just been redesigned for the 2021 model year, and it is the first time in its production run that it has been completely repaneld.

The new Ghost boasts a slightly longer wheelbase than its predecessor, along with state-of-the- art safety sensors, and BMW’s laser headlights, and other new crash protection technologies. Rolls-Royce is known for their attention to detail and the utmost opulence, and their cars are proof of that. The company says that over 90% of their cars are made by hand. From the interior, even including the paint work is done by hand.

A main selling point for the ghost is its unimaginable customizability. Rolls-Royce refuses to mention base prices to their customers due to the massive amount of customization available; one customer even decided to infuse the paint of his Ghost with crushed diamonds. This amount of personalization along with the handcrafted element are main reasons pricing of the new Ghost starts at 332,500 dollars, which is over 100,000 dollars less than their more premium model the Phantom. The Ghost has been Rolls-Royce’s most profitable car, and for the 2021 redesign, they made sure it would stay at the top of their list.
