Barstow is partnering with Black & Veatch to provide a second location for morning temperature screenings beginning Monday, Oct. 5.
Parents and students can drive through the IDEA Space parking lot at 12200 State Line Road for a temperature check before entering our main campus. The temperature checking station is a Black & Veatch Rapid Modular Health System (RaHMS) unit. It will be open 7:30-8:40 a.m., Monday-Friday.
After the temperature check, students will receive a color-coded sticker allowing them to bypass the Circle Drive check-in and the main entrance to the school.
Drivers can drop off middle and upper school students in Lot A, and they will enter through the doors near the Upper School Commons.
Students who drive themselves may park in Lot B and use the entrance near the Upper School Commons.
Drivers can drop off lower school students from Lot C, where they will enter through the north pod doors.
Barstow staff members will be at these additional entrances to confirm that students using these doors have their screening sticker.
Screening procedures are part of Barstow’s commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe school community. Our hope is that this additional option will allow a smooth system work even better as winter weather approaches. This second station is not a new requirement, but offered as an option if it will make your drop-off routine easier.
