Welcome to the Wonder Years,
My years of experience as the Head of Middle School have allowed me to observe that young people contribute to their own development in an energetic and optimistic way.
As educators and guides, we must capitalize on adolescents’ enthusiasm for the growing -up process and emphasize their strengths and their many admirable qualities. It is the time in young people’s lives to help them construct a sense of self that is competent and compassionate. Our Middle School program provides a framework of academic challenge and intellectual discipline that encourages students to embrace and understand the connection between what they are learning in the classroom and the real world, in order to become reflective thinkers and resourceful problem-solvers.
Our Middle School has an International Studies focus, which incorporates Service Learning and Leadership to enhance students' cultural knowledge and awareness. It is our belief that community and service starts in the classroom and extends out to the community in which we live as well as service to the world. It is our intention to make students aware of their interconnectedness with the world and its environment so that they take on the responsibility of maintaining a healthy planet.
It is our hope that all students start on their path to a meaningful life.
Best wishes,
Kate Bradley
